Warner Pacific University Volleyball Head Coach Kim Lissinna announced the signing of transfer junior libero Alyssa Asuncion to the 2023 women's volleyball recruiting class.
"Alyssa is a firecracker when she plays. She is such a fun person to have on the team and adds so much energy to the court" said Lissinna.
Asuncion, from Kuli'ouou, Hawaii, joins Warner Pacific after playing for the last three years at Mt. Hood Community College. During her time at Mt. Hood Asuncion was named second team All-Conference.
Asuncion also earned player of the week honors as well as being named to the All-Tournament Team during the Mt. Hood Community College Tournament. Last year with Mt. Hood, Asuncion recorded 305 digs and averaged 3.96 digs per set.
"We are excited to have her bring some consistency to our serve receive line and some additional speed and grit to our back court" added Lissinna.
Asuncion will pursue a degree Kinesiology at Warner Pacific and joins a talented roster put together by coach Lissinna.
