We appreciate your patience as we make Lincoln City more accessible whether you drive, ride, walk and roll through.

The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) has announced a pause in the construction of ADA curb ramps in Lincoln City for the summer. The project is set to resume after Labor Day on September 3, with plans to complete the second half thereafter. During this pause, crews may still be seen performing exploratory work and finishing other tasks in the area.

Funding information indicates that while ODOT’s maintenance and operations are affected by a funding crisis, most construction projects will proceed as planned. These projects are typically funded through separate capital programs with state or federal funds restricted to project development. However, delays may occur due to a reduced workforce affecting traffic control, inspections, and project oversight.

For further details on ODOT’s funding situation or ongoing roadwork in the community, residents are encouraged to visit ODOT’s website or explore their interactive map for updates.

Drivers are reminded to exercise caution in work zones by slowing down and moving over for safety. Fines double in all Oregon work zones regardless of worker presence.

For inquiries related to this announcement, contact Mindy McCartt at 503-507-6045. Translation and interpretation services are available for those requiring accommodations under ADA Title II or Civil Rights Title VI.

Access for pedestrians will remain available around work zones throughout the project’s duration.

Travelers should note that federally accepted ID is now required for boarding commercial U.S. flights if they are 18 years or older.
