The Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) office in Astoria, located at 705 W. Marine Drive, will remain closed until further notice after a broken water supply line caused flooding on December 12. The office was initially expected to reopen on December 22 following repairs and cleanup, but the extent of the damage was greater than first thought.

“We are prioritizing reopening the office and will share information when we know more,” said the DMV in a statement.

Customers who need DMV services are encouraged to use online options at dmv2u.oregon.gov, which provides access to over 30 transactions around the clock. Information about nearby DMV offices and real-time updates on closures can be found at www.oregon.gov/odot/DMV/Pages/offices/index.aspx.

For questions from customers, the DMV has provided a contact number and website for assistance.
