Sara Odendahl, CEO of the Bend Chamber of Commerce, announced on Apr. 15 a special invitation for chamber members to attend the organization’s Centennial Celebration on May 21.

The event marks a significant milestone as the Bend Chamber celebrates its 100th anniversary, highlighting its longstanding role in supporting and advocating for local businesses. The celebration is intended not only to honor the organization’s history but also to recognize the people and leaders who have contributed to shaping the business community over generations.

Odendahl said, “For 100 years, the Bend Chamber has stood at the heart of a vibrant and resilient business community. Advocating for local businesses, supporting economic growth, and fostering the relationships that make Bend such a special place to live and work. This milestone is more than a celebration of our history; it’s a reflection of the people, businesses, and leaders who have shaped our community across generations.”

She added that throughout its history, “the Chamber’s impact has always been rooted in connection, collaboration, and a shared vision for the future.” Odendahl emphasized that this legacy continues because of its members: “And that story continues because of you…our members.”

Members are encouraged to attend what Odendahl described as an evening dedicated to reconnecting with one another while reflecting on past achievements and looking forward to future opportunities: “We invite you to join us on May 21 for our Centennial Celebration, where we’ll come together to honor the past, celebrate the present, and look ahead to the next 100 years of impact. It will be an evening to reconnect, reflect, and recognize the collective strength of our business community.”

Odendahl concluded her message by expressing hope that members will participate in this milestone event: “We hope you’ll be part of this special moment. Together, we’ve built something truly meaningful, and together, we’ll carry it forward.”
