Billionaire Dennis Washington’s newest superyacht, reportedly his fifth, was seen in Cabo San Lucas according to an April 18 report. The vessel, known as Attessa 5 or AV, was identified by users on the subreddit r/yachtporn during a week-long cruise in the area.

Washington is well known among yachting enthusiasts for his collection of large vessels. A Reddit user said, “This is the newest addition to Dennis Washington’s stable of Attessa yachts. This is Attessa 5 known as AV.” While AV was observed alone in Cabo San Lucas, other users recalled seeing the entire fleet together previously in Puerto Vallarta.

SuperYachtFan reported that AV measures over 300 feet long and can accommodate up to 33 crew members and 24 guests. The yacht is valued at $200 million and costs between $10 million and $20 million each year to operate. Despite these high expenses, they represent a small portion of Washington’s estimated net worth of nearly $8 billion according to Forbes.

Washington built his fortune through construction and mining with his business group, Washington Companies. He is recognized as Montana’s richest person.

The presence of multiple superyachts has drawn attention not only for its display of wealth but also for its environmental impact. Superyachts are often criticized for their pollution levels and resource use. One Reddit commenter remarked on the disparity by saying, “It’s a hard knock life,” while another added about Washington’s lifestyle: “He’s got a cozy jet also… But the man is self made.”
