Blueroot Health announced on April 13 the expansion of its voluntary recall of Vital Nutrients Aller-C dietary supplements due to the potential presence of undeclared egg, hazelnut, and soy. The recall now includes all product made from lot 25E04, in addition to previously recalled lots 25E04-A and 25E04-B.
The expanded recall is significant because people with allergies or severe sensitivities to egg, hazelnut, or soy could face serious or life-threatening reactions if they consume these products. The affected supplements were distributed nationwide through VitalNutrients.co and other online retailers.
The recalled Aller-C products are packaged in white plastic bottles containing either 100 or 200 capsules. They bear lot numbers 25E04, 25E04-A, and 25E04-B with an expiration date of May 2027 printed on the side. These lots were distributed between September 2025 and March 2026.
According to Blueroot Health’s statement, “The allergens were discovered as part of routine internal testing and promptly reported by the company to the FDA.” The company also confirmed that no illnesses have been reported so far in connection with this product. Consumers who purchased these items are advised to stop using them immediately and return them for a replacement. Questions can be directed to Blueroot Health at (888) 328-9992 during regular business hours.
