The Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has announced the temporary closure of its Brookings office, located at 97900 Shopping Center Ave., due to staffing issues. The closure affects services on January 2, 2026.

Customers who need DMV services are advised to visit alternative locations in Coos Bay or Grants Pass. Additionally, the DMV encourages customers to use its online platform, DMV2U, which provides access to more than 30 different transactions around the clock.
