SELCO Community Credit Union announced on Apr. 20 the hiring of Francine Gardner as Vice President, Senior Commercial Loan Officer for its Commercial & Business Banking division. Gardner will be based at SELCO’s Gateway branch in Springfield and will focus on developing new business relationships, community engagement, and managing a complex commercial loan portfolio.

Gardner brings nearly three decades of experience in financial services to her new role. Her career began as a personal banker at a national bank after college graduation, followed by extensive work in commercial banking. Most recently, she served eight years as Senior Commercial Loan Officer at a Pacific Northwest-based credit union.

“We are incredibly fortunate to welcome someone of Francine’s caliber, experience, and reputation to our team and look forward to the expertise and leadership she will bring,” said Sean Huntington, SELCO’s Vice President of Commercial Lending.

Originally from Indonesia, Gardner completed high school in the United States before earning an associate’s degree from Lane Community College in 1996 and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon in 1998. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, gardening, and spending time with her daughter.

Founded in 1936 by teachers in Springfield, SELCO now serves more than 150,000 members across Oregon and Washington. The not-for-profit credit union manages over $2.8 billion in assets and offers various financial products through its network of branches.
