The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) and the City of Gold Beach have extended the online open house for the Gold Beach U.S. 101 Community Connections Plan through Monday, January 26. The initiative aims to gather public feedback on transportation issues in Gold Beach.

The open house provides information about current transportation challenges and includes a survey for community members to share their experiences with travel in the area. ODOT encourages participation to help identify and evaluate projects that could improve safety, connectivity, and support local economic development along U.S. 101.

According to ODOT, “ODOT and the City of Gold Beach are working together to develop improved community connections in Gold Beach. The Gold Beach U.S. 101 Community Connections Plan will identify and evaluate transportation projects to improve safety and connectivity for all roadway users and support local economic development goals.”

Information collected from this outreach may be used in future environmental reviews as required by the National Environmental Policy Act.

For more details or to participate, residents can visit the project website: Gold Beach U.S. 101 Community Connections Plan. Project contact is Tom Guevara, Jr., ODOT Senior Planner, at Thomas.Guevara@odot.oregon.gov or 541-957-3692. Media inquiries can be directed to Julie Denney, ODOT Public Information Officer, at Julie.Denney@odot.oregon.gov or 503-949-2366.
