Nighttime ramp closures are scheduled on Interstate 5 in Creswell starting October 13, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT). The northbound I-5 on-ramp from Cloverdale Road will be closed nightly from October 13 through October 15. Work will take place between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Travelers should expect construction noise and possible delays during these hours. Drivers heading north can use OR 99 toward Goshen as an alternate route while the ramp is closed.

Some aspects of the project may change depending on weather conditions. ODOT advises checking TripCheck.com for the latest updates on traffic and road impacts.

“Pay attention in work zones, slow down and move over – imagine this is where you work. Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers,” ODOT stated in its announcement.

The agency also reminds drivers that fines double in all Oregon work zones, regardless of whether workers or signs are present.

For questions about the project, Mindy McCartt, Public Information Officer, can be reached at 503-507-6045.

Information about other ongoing road projects is available on ODOT’s website, which features an interactive map showing current construction activities in local communities.

Those needing translation or interpretation services related to this project can call TTY (800) 735-2900 or use the statewide Oregon Relay Service at 7-1-1. ODOT notes it does not discriminate based on disability regarding access to programs or employment practices.

For real-time road conditions and alerts at any time, travelers are encouraged to visit TripCheck.com or call 5-1-1.
