The southbound off-ramp at Exit 58 on Interstate 5 in Grants Pass will be closed at night for about a week in March. The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) announced that the closure is necessary to allow crews to widen the road, upgrade guardrails, and remove overgrown vegetation.

The closure will begin on Monday, March 9, with the off-ramp closed each night from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Work is expected to continue through Friday, March 13, depending on weather conditions.

Signs have been placed in the area to inform drivers about the upcoming closure. Drivers heading southbound can use a designated detour or choose an alternate route to access Grants Pass.

According to ODOT, “This work is part of the I-5: Monument Dr – N. Grants Pass project.” The project aims to improve safety and traffic flow along this stretch of highway and is expected to be completed by fall 2026.

For more information about this project, travelers can visit the official project page: I-5 Monument Drive – N. Grants Pass. Updates on highway conditions and closures are available at TripCheck.com.
