Lane closures are scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 25 on the Historic Columbia River Highway near Angel’s Rest as crews remove hazardous trees along the route. The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) will be working with the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department to carry out this work.

According to ODOT, lane closures will take place between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Flaggers will be present to direct traffic during these times, and efforts will be made to keep each closure to 15 minutes or less.

Travelers using this section of U.S. 30 are advised to allow extra time for their trips due to possible delays caused by the tree removal project.

“We have scheduled lane closures between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to allow us to do the work safely for workers and travelers,” ODOT stated in its announcement.

Flaggers will manage traffic flow throughout the operation, aiming to minimize disruptions for drivers in the area.
