McMinnville man sentenced to federal prison for methamphetamine possession with intent to distribute

A McMinnville, Oregon, man was sentenced on April 1 to federal prison after being found in possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute in Yamhill County.

John Billy Donnahoo, 52, received a sentence of 120 months in federal prison and five years of supervised release. The sentencing follows a search warrant executed at Donnahoo’s residence on May 25, 2024, where police seized over one pound of methamphetamine along with multiple firearms, ammunition, digital scales, and more than $16,000 in cash. A federal grand jury returned a multi-count indictment against Donnahoo on July 16, 2024. He pleaded guilty on November 19, 2025.

The case was investigated by the McMinnville Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Scott M. Kerin.
