The Medford School District announced on Apr. 14 a series of graduation celebrations and ceremonies to honor the Class of 2026. The district will host its Annual Grad Walk at the end of May, allowing seniors to revisit their former schools in caps and gowns before official commencement events.

Graduation is an important milestone for students, representing years of effort and personal growth. The district’s announcement highlights opportunities for families and community members to participate in celebrating graduates.

During the Grad Walk, scheduled for May 26 from 10:15 to 10:45 a.m., seniors will travel by bus along Jackson Street, passing by cheering supporters. Community members are invited to watch from locations such as the Medford Center or Hawthorne Park. The district encourages attendees to bring signs and make noise in support of graduating students.

In addition to the Grad Walk, formal graduation ceremonies will be held at Spiegelberg Stadium with limited tickets available. Innovation Academy’s ceremony is set for Wednesday, May 27 at 7:00 p.m., South Graduation takes place Thursday, May 28 at 7:00 p.m., and North Graduation is scheduled for Friday, May 29 at the same time. Gates open prior to each event, and virtual streaming links will also be provided so that more people can join remotely.

The school district also noted that June 4 marks the last day of instruction for non-graduating students with early release times across all grade levels. Sodexo will provide a light brunch service on this day instead of lunch.

The Medford School District invites everyone to mark their calendars and join in recognizing this year’s graduating class.
