Miami Foley Road will be closed for two days starting October 8 as part of the ongoing replacement of the Crystal Creek and Dry Creek Bridges. The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) announced that the closures will take place daily at Crystal Creek on October 8 and October 9 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. During these hours, traffic will be detoured using U.S. 101.

Crews will work during the day, and residents can expect construction noise and delays. A single lane of Miami Foley Road is planned to reopen each day by 3:30 p.m.

After October 9, daytime work will continue with a single lane open and controlled by a temporary traffic signal. Construction-related disruptions are expected to persist in the area.

ODOT encourages drivers to stay alert in work zones, slow down, and watch for construction signs and workers. “Pay attention in the work zone, slow down and move over – imagine this is where you work. Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers,” ODOT stated.

The department also reminded motorists that fines double in all Oregon work zones regardless of whether workers or signs are present.

For more information about current road projects or to view an interactive map of ongoing construction efforts in the community, ODOT directs residents to visit their project webpage or TripCheck.com for real-time road conditions and alerts.

For questions about the project or requests for translation or interpretation services, ODOT provides contact information for Mindy McCartt, Public Information Officer at 503-507-6045.

“We do not discriminate on the basis of disability in admission or access to our programs, services, activities, hiring and employment practices. ODOT is an EEO/AA Employer,” according to ODOT’s statement.
