Overnight lane closures are scheduled for southbound Interstate 5 in Portland as crews conduct a concrete inspection under the Morrison Bridge. The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) announced that up to two lanes will be closed starting at 2 a.m. Friday, with work expected to conclude by 5 a.m.
Drivers traveling southbound on I-5 during these hours are advised to reduce speed and maintain distance from road crews and equipment for safety reasons.
In addition, both directions of I-5 in southwest Portland will be closed overnight for the installation of RealTime signs. This closure affects the section between Interstate 405 and SW Terwilliger Boulevard, beginning at 11 p.m. Thursday and ending at 5 a.m. Friday.
These closures are part of ongoing efforts by ODOT to maintain infrastructure and improve traffic management systems in the area.
