Nighttime ramp closures are scheduled for Interstate 5 in Creswell, with work set to begin on October 20. The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) announced that the northbound I-5 on-ramp from Cloverdale Road will be closed nightly from October 20 through October 22. Work will take place between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Travelers affected by the closure can use OR 99 to travel north toward Goshen during these times. ODOT advises that some aspects of the construction are dependent on weather conditions, which could affect the schedule.

The department encourages drivers to exercise caution in work zones, reminding motorists that fines double in all Oregon work zones regardless of whether workers or signs are present. “Pay attention in work zones, slow down and move over – imagine this is where you work. Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers.”

Questions about the project can be directed to Mindy McCartt, Public Information Officer, at 503-507-6045.

ODOT also provides resources for ADA Title II or Civil Rights Title VI accommodations and offers translation or interpretation services upon request by calling TTY (800) 735-2900 or using the statewide Oregon Relay Service: 7-1-1.

Those interested in learning more about other ongoing road projects can visit ODOT’s webpage featuring an interactive map of current construction activities in local communities.
