Northeast Area Commission on Transportation schedules Jan. 8 public meeting in La Grande

The Northeast Area Commission on Transportation is scheduled to meet on Thursday, January 8, from 9 a.m. to noon Pacific Time at the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) Region 5 office in La Grande. The meeting will be held at 3012 Island Ave., and is open to the public. There will also be an option for virtual attendance via Microsoft Teams, with access details provided in the meeting agenda.

According to the announcement, time will be set aside during the session for public comments. The agenda includes updates on transportation projects at the state, county, and city levels, as well as other regional transportation topics.

An Area Commission on Transportation serves as an advisory body established by the Oregon Transportation Commission to address various aspects of transportation across regions. The Northeast Area Commission on Transportation consists of community leaders and partners from Morrow, Umatilla, Wallowa, Union, and Baker counties, along with representatives from the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation.
