Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is organizing an open house event on July 30, 2025, at Eagle Point City Hall. The event will run from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The meeting aims to inform the community about a project scheduled to begin construction in 2027. ODOT representatives and subject matter experts will be present to discuss the project.

The project involves constructing a single-lane roundabout at the intersection of OR 62 and OR 234. This initiative seeks to reduce crashes by providing a safer traffic solution. While various options like installing a traffic signal were considered, the roundabout is preferred for rural high-speed intersections due to its effectiveness in reducing crash severity.
