The Oregon Department of Transportation announced on March 19 that it is seeking public input on proposed changes to the Interstate 5 Exit 129 Interchange Area Management Plan. The plan, originally adopted in 2011, would be updated to remove language related to certain commercial and service-related uses.

The department has opened a public comment period that will run through Thursday, April 9. Community members are encouraged to review the proposed amendments and share their feedback before the deadline.

According to ODOT, more information about the update and access to the amended IAMP document can be found by following the provided link in their announcement. Those wishing to submit comments can contact Janell Stradtner, Senior Transportation Planner at ODOT, by phone or email as listed in the notice.

The outcome of this comment period may influence future development and land use around Exit 129. ODOT said it values community participation in shaping transportation plans that affect local residents and businesses.
