The Oregon beach volleyball team lost to Louisiana State University on April 23 at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championship, ending its season with a record of 17-18. The match took place on Spiker Beach in Huntington Beach, California.

This result concludes the Ducks’ campaign for the year. Oregon faced the 13th-ranked LSU team, which secured a win by taking three matches before play was stopped as per postseason rules. The Tigers won on courts one, two, and four, while two other matches remained unfinished when LSU clinched victory.

Daley McClellan and Elsa Snipes from Oregon were leading after the first set in their match against Molly LaBreche and Aubrey O’Gorman but trailed in the second set when play ended. On court five, Landree Coats and Natasha George had just forced a third set before their match was left incomplete due to LSU’s clinching point.

This season marked Kristian Kuld’s first year as head coach for Oregon beach volleyball. Under his leadership, the program achieved a new single-season record of 17 wins. The Ducks also recorded victories over two ranked teams—No. 19 Georgia State and No. 15 Florida Atlantic University—and saw five pairs finish with double-digit wins.

The official results show that McGatlin/Sprecher (LSU) defeated Fife/Slojkowski (Oregon) and Finlason/Martin (LSU) beat Gamache/Rossi (Oregon). Lagemann/Meyer (LSU) won against Bjornson/Taylor (Oregon), securing LSU’s advancement in the tournament.
