The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is inviting the public to learn more about the proposed projects in its 2027-2030 Draft Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). The program outlines capital improvement plans for both state and federally funded transportation projects.

A meeting will be held on Thursday, February 5 at 3:30 p.m. with the Mid-Willamette Valley Area Commission on Transportation (MWACT). Participants can attend in person at ODOT Region 2 Building B, Mt. Jefferson Conference Room in Salem, or join virtually via Microsoft Teams or by phone.

Accommodations will be available for people with disabilities, and materials can be provided in alternative formats. Those needing such services are asked to contact Brandon Williams at least 48 hours before the meeting.

For those unable to attend, ODOT plans to launch an online open house in early February. The virtual event will feature an interactive map that allows users to view proposed projects within their communities.

According to ODOT, “We do not discriminate on the basis of disability in admission or access to our programs, services, activities, hiring, and employment practices. ODOT is an EEO/AA Employer.”

Access for pedestrians, including those with disabilities, will be maintained through or around work zones.

Travelers seeking up-to-date road conditions and travel information can use TripCheck.com, which provides real-time updates on traffic and weather across Oregon.

Questions about the program can be directed to Mindy McCartt, Public Information Officer for ODOT.
