The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is inviting the public to learn more about the proposed projects included in the 2027-2030 Draft Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). The program outlines capital improvements for state and federally funded transportation projects.

Community members can attend the Lane Area Commission on Transportation (LaneACT) meeting to get information about these projects. The meeting will be held on February 11 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the ODOT Springfield office, located at 2080 Laura Street, Springfield, OR 97477. Attendees also have the option to join virtually via Microsoft Teams or by phone using +1 (971) 277-1965 with Meeting ID: 248 054 201 449 8.

ODOT has stated that accommodations will be provided for people with disabilities and materials can be offered in alternative formats upon request. Those needing such accommodations are asked to contact Bill Johnston at least 48 hours in advance.

An online open house for the STIP is planned for early February, offering an interactive map of proposed projects across various communities. This will allow those unable to attend the LaneACT meeting to review project details and provide feedback.

For additional information about LaneACT meetings or documents related to STIP, community members are encouraged to visit relevant ODOT webpages or contact Mindy McCartt, Public Information Officer, at 503-507-6045.

The department emphasized its commitment to accessibility and non-discrimination in all programs and employment practices. Pedestrian access through or around work zones will remain available, including for those with disabilities.

Travelers seeking current road conditions and travel updates can use TripCheck.com, which provides real-time traffic and weather information across Oregon.

“We do not discriminate on the basis of disability in admission or access to our programs, services, activities, hiring, and employment practices. ODOT is an EEO/AA Employer.”

Access for pedestrians, including those with disabilities, will be available through or around work zones.
