Safety upgrades are scheduled for 2026 on OR 22, with the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) announcing improvements at two intersections: Perrydale Road and Kings Valley Highway. The latter will see the construction of a new roundabout.

ODOT is inviting community members to visit an online open house for more information about the planned changes and what to expect during construction. The department encourages residents to explore its interactive map online to see additional projects underway in their area.

Drivers are reminded to slow down and exercise caution in work zones, as fines are doubled in all Oregon work zones regardless of whether workers or signs are present.

For further questions, Mindy McCartt, Public Information Officer, can be reached at 503-507-6045. ODOT asks the public to share this information with others who may be interested and offers translation and interpretation accommodations upon request by calling TTY (800) 735-2900 or using the Oregon Relay Service at 7-1-1.

“We do not discriminate on the basis of disability in admission or access to our programs, services, activities, hiring and employment practices. ODOT is an EEO/AA Employer.”

For real-time road conditions and traffic alerts, ODOT directs drivers to TripCheck.com or 5-1-1. The department is also recruiting for positions that support essential state services; more details can be found at ODOTJobs.com.
