The Oregon Department of Transportation announced on April 17 that Highway 99 will undergo overnight paving work starting April 26. The project is expected to last about a week, depending on weather and field conditions.

The paving work will take place between Coleman Creek and W. Glenwood Drive, with Knife River contracted for grinding and resurfacing the highway. During construction, lane closures, flaggers, and temporary traffic control measures will be in effect. Access may be delayed at times while the work is ongoing.

Officials said local access will remain available throughout the project but warned that short-term disruptions and construction noise should be expected during working hours. Drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians are advised to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use alternative routes around Highway 99 when possible.

The department emphasized that these precautions are intended to reduce congestion and enhance safety in the work zone for all travelers.

Further updates or changes to the schedule may occur if weather or field conditions affect progress.
