The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) has launched an online open house for the draft 2027-2030 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). The open house provides information about planned state and federally funded transportation projects, including public transportation, bike paths, sidewalks, road repaving, and bridge maintenance.

Community members are encouraged to use the interactive map on the website to view proposed projects in their area and submit feedback. ODOT stated that all comments received will be included in the public comment record, which will be presented to the Oregon Transportation Commission before they approve the final STIP in June. The online open house will remain available until March 20.

“This is your opportunity to see which projects we are investing in and to share your feedback,” ODOT said. “We may use your comments to make adjustments as we begin designing projects in the STIP.”

Residents can also visit ODOT’s construction webpage for more details about ongoing work and use TripCheck.com for real-time updates on road conditions, traffic cameras, and weather information.

For those requiring accommodations or translation services under ADA Title II or Civil Rights Title VI, ODOT offers assistance through TTY (800) 735-2900 or the statewide Oregon Relay Service at 7-1-1. Information is also available in Spanish upon request.

ODOT reminds drivers that fines double in all Oregon work zones regardless of whether workers or signs are present. The agency urges motorists to drive safely and watch for construction activity.

For questions regarding the program or participation in the open house, Mindy McCartt serves as Public Information Officer and can be reached at 503-507-6045.

ODOT emphasized its commitment to non-discrimination: “We do not discriminate on the basis of disability in admission or access to our programs, services, activities, hiring, and employment practices. ODOT is an EEO/AA Employer.”

Access for pedestrians—including those with disabilities—will be maintained through or around work zones during construction activities.
