The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is inviting the public to learn more about its proposed projects for the 2027-2030 Draft Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). The STIP serves as ODOT’s capital improvement plan, outlining state and federally funded projects scheduled over the next several years.

A meeting will be held on Thursday, February 5 at 3:30 p.m. with the Mid-Willamette Valley Area Commission on Transportation (MWACT). Attendees can join in person at ODOT Region 2 Building B, Mt. Jefferson Conference Room in Salem, or participate virtually via Microsoft Teams or by phone.

Accommodations will be provided for people with disabilities, and materials are available in alternative formats upon request. Those needing such accommodations are asked to contact Brandon Williams at least 48 hours in advance.

For those unable to attend the meeting, an online open house will launch this week. The digital platform features an interactive map that allows users to view proposed projects within their communities.

Questions regarding the event or STIP can be directed to Mindy McCartt, Public Information Officer for ODOT.

The department encourages community members to share information about these opportunities so others can stay informed and sign up for updates about ongoing transportation work in Oregon.

Travelers seeking current road conditions and real-time travel information can visit TripCheck.com, which provides updates on weather and traffic throughout the year.

“Access for pedestrians, including those with disabilities, will be available through or around work zones,” states ODOT. “We do not discriminate on the basis of disability in admission or access to our programs, services, activities, hiring, and employment practices. ODOT is an EEO/AA Employer.”

For ADA Title II or Civil Rights Title VI accommodations—including translation or interpretation services—individuals are encouraged to call TTY (800) 735-2900 or use the statewide Oregon Relay Service at 7-1-1.

“Si desea obtener información sobre este proyecto traducida al español, sírvase llamar al TTY (800) 735-2900,” says ODOT.

Additional details about MWACT meetings and documents related to STIP planning are available through links provided by ODOT.
