Oregon DMV closes Newport office temporarily due to staffing shortage

The Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) announced that its Newport office at 158 N.E. Fifth St. is closed today because of staffing issues. Customers in need of DMV services are advised to visit the nearest location in Lincoln City.

The department also encourages people to use its online platform, dmv2u.oregon.gov, which provides more than 30 services around the clock.
