The Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) announced that its Prineville office, located at 1595 E. Third St., is closed today due to staffing issues. Customers who need in-person services are advised to visit the nearest DMV office in Redmond.

The DMV encourages people to check real-time updates on office closures at the Oregon DMV website. Many transactions can be completed online through DMV2U, which offers more than 30 common services. There is also a DMV Express Kiosk available in Bend for certain tasks.

According to the agency, “Every person who completes a transaction outside a DMV frees up a spot in line at a field office.” For those who must visit an office, making an appointment is recommended for faster service.

Customers with questions can call 503-945-5000 or visit oregondmv.com for more information.
