The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is inviting the public to learn more about its proposed 2027-2030 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP), which outlines planned state and federally funded capital projects. Community members can participate in a series of upcoming meetings or access information online.

The North West Area Commission on Transportation (NWACT) will hold a meeting on February 12 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Banks Fire District #13 Building in Banks, Oregon. The meeting can also be attended virtually via Microsoft Teams or by phone. ODOT encourages interested individuals to visit the NWACT webpage about a week before the meeting for the agenda and any updates regarding scheduling.

Additional in-person events are scheduled across several counties:
– Tillamook County: March 5, 5 p.m.–7 p.m., Officers’ Mess Hall Port of Tillamook Bay.
– Clatsop County: March 9, 5 p.m.–7 p.m., ODOT Astoria office.
– Columbia County: March 11, 5 p.m.–7 p.m., Columbia County Road Department in St. Helens.

Accessible parking will be available at all venues, and accommodations will be provided for people with disabilities. Materials can also be made available in alternative formats upon request by contacting Caroline Crisp at least 48 hours before an event.

For those unable to attend an in-person session, ODOT will launch an online open house later this week where users can review proposed projects using an interactive map.

Information about commonly asked questions regarding STIP as well as details on how the program is developed are available through dedicated web pages linked from NWACT’s site.

For translation or interpretation services, ADA Title II or Civil Rights Title VI accommodations, alternate formats, or additional information, individuals may call TTY (800) 735-2900 or use the statewide Oregon Relay Service: 7-1-1.

Mindy McCartt, Public Information Officer for ODOT, is available for further questions at 503-507-6045.

“We do not discriminate on the basis of disability in admission or access to our programs, services, activities, hiring, and employment practices. ODOT is an EEO/AA Employer.”

Access for pedestrians—including those with disabilities—will be maintained through work zones associated with these projects.

Travelers seeking current road conditions and weather updates can consult TripCheck.com for real-time travel information that supports safe trip planning year-round (https://www.tripcheck.com).
