The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is inviting the public to attend an in-person event in St. Helens on March 11 to learn about the proposed projects included in the 2027-2030 Draft Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). The meeting will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Columbia County Road Department, located at 1054 Oregon Street, St. Helens, OR 97051. Accessible parking will be available near the front entrance.

The STIP serves as ODOT’s capital improvement plan for state and federally funded transportation projects. During the event, attendees can review project proposals and ask questions about upcoming work planned for their communities.

For those unable to attend in person, ODOT offers an online open house with an interactive map showing proposed projects across different regions. The online open house is available until March 20.

ODOT states that accommodations for people with disabilities will be provided upon request, and materials can be made available in alternative formats. Individuals needing assistance are encouraged to contact Caroline Crisp at 503-313-6812 or use the statewide relay service by dialing 7-1-1 at least two days before the event.

Translation and interpretation services are also offered for those who require information in languages other than English or need ADA Title II or Civil Rights Title VI accommodations. For more details or assistance, individuals can call TTY (800) 735-2900 or use Oregon Relay Service: 7-1-1.

Public Information Officer Mindy McCartt is available to answer questions regarding the program and event at 503-507-6045.

ODOT encourages community members to share information about this opportunity so others can stay informed about local transportation planning efforts and sign up for future updates.

According to ODOT policy, access through or around work zones will remain available for pedestrians, including those with disabilities.

Travelers seeking current road conditions and travel information are directed to TripCheck.com, which provides real-time updates on traffic cameras and weather across Oregon.
