The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is inviting community members to learn about the proposed projects in the 2027-2030 Draft Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). The STIP outlines capital improvement plans for state and federally funded transportation projects.

An in-person event will be held on March 9 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the ODOT Astoria office, located at 350 W Marine Drive, Astoria, OR. Accessible parking is available near the front entrance. Accommodations will be provided for people with disabilities, and materials can be made available in alternative formats upon request by contacting Caroline Crisp at 503-313-6812 or using the statewide relay service at 7-1-1 at least 48 hours in advance.

For those unable to attend in Astoria, a final in-person presentation will take place on March 11 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Columbia County Road Department, located at 1054 Oregon Street, St. Helens, OR.

Those who cannot attend either meeting can access information through an online open house that features an interactive map of proposed projects across communities. The online open house will close on March 20.

Questions about these events or the STIP can be directed to Mindy McCartt, Public Information Officer, at 503-507-6045.

ODOT encourages community members to share this information so others may stay informed and sign up for email updates regarding ongoing work.

The department states: “We do not discriminate on the basis of disability in admission or access to our programs, services, activities, hiring, and employment practices. ODOT is an EEO/AA Employer.”

Additionally: “Access for pedestrians, including those with disabilities, will be available through or around work zones.”

Travelers seeking real-time road conditions and travel information can use TripCheck.com to plan safe trips throughout the year.

For ADA Title II or Civil Rights Title VI accommodations—including alternate formats or translation/interpretation services—individuals are advised to call TTY (800) 735-2900 or use Oregon Relay Service: 7-1-1.
