The Oregon State Legislature concluded its 2025 session on June 27, prompting questions about the impact on small businesses. The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) Oregon is organizing a virtual event to discuss legislative outcomes that affect Main Street enterprises.

Anthony Smith, NFIB Oregon State Director, will lead the discussion and review both the successes and setbacks for small businesses during this year’s legislative session. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, July 30, from 12 p.m. to 12:45 p.m., and will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams.

Topics to be discussed include the Transportation ReInvestment Package, issues concerning small business versus big labor, an unemployment insurance tax relief victory, and efforts aimed at protecting insurance affordability.

Individuals interested in attending can register for the event online. For additional questions or registration assistance, participants are encouraged to contact Stacy Jenkins, Oregon Grassroots Manager at NFIB.
