Four student-athletes from the University of Oregon were named All-Americans by the National Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling Association after the NCATA National Championships, according to an April 26 announcement. This achievement equals the program’s record for most selections in a single season.
The recognition highlights Oregon’s continued success in acrobatics and tumbling, with three athletes—senior Blessyn McMorris, sophomore Carly Garcia, and junior Ashlyn Parlett—earning first-team honors. Sophomore Angelica Martin was named to the second team.
McMorris received her second consecutive All-America honor, becoming one of just 13 Ducks to achieve multiple selections in program history. She played a key role in Oregon’s top-scoring pyramid event during her final year and was twice named NCATA Athlete of the Week. Garcia earned first-team recognition for her performance throughout the season and contributed to Oregon’s win in the trio tumbling event final earlier on championship day. Parlett also received first-team honors for consistent routines in pyramid and toss events; she was recognized as NCATA Athlete of the Week during week three. Martin secured her first career All-America selection as a regular contributor to Oregon’s lineup.
Nicole Jackson received the Louise Goodman Academic Achievement Award, which is given annually to a junior or senior athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average among teams at the national tournament. In addition, 21 Oregon student-athletes made this year’s NCATA Academic Honor Roll.
Oregon now has a total of 36 All-America selections from 21 student-athletes since acrobatics and tumbling became an official sport sixteen years ago; both figures rank second-most nationally since inception. The Ducks have had multiple All-Americans for four straight seasons and at least one honoree every year since their program began.
Head coach Taylor Susnara has overseen eight student-athletes earning All-America honors during her tenure.
