The Oregon men’s golf team has earned the No. 11 seed at the NCAA Columbus Regional, according to a May 6 announcement. The tournament is scheduled to take place from May 18 to May 20 at the OSU Golf Club’s Scarlet Course.
This regional appearance marks the Ducks’ nineteenth consecutive postseason berth and their thirty-second overall regional qualification. The team aims to advance to the NCAA Championships for the third time in five years and for what would be the thirteenth time under head coach Casey Martin.
The Scarlet Course, originally built in 1938 and renovated in 2005-06 with oversight from Jack Nicklaus, will host teams on a par-71 layout measuring just over 7,400 yards. Florida holds the top seed in this regional, followed by Arizona State and Stanford. Long Beach State and Florida State round out the top five seeds.
The low five teams as well as the lowest individual not on an advancing team from each regional will qualify for the national championship event at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California, set for May 29 through June 3.
Oregon’s placement among strong competition reflects both its consistency in reaching postseason play and its continued leadership under Martin.
