The Oregon State Beavers women’s track and field team recorded six new entries in the program’s record books during their weekend competition in Eugene, according to an April 18 report from the university.

These performances highlight continued progress for the Beavers as athletes achieved personal bests and moved up the all-time rankings. The meet included strong showings across field events, sprints, hurdles, and distance races.

Beatrice Pettersson placed seventh in the hammer throw invite before earning second place in shot put with a personal-best mark of 15.08 meters (50-9.50), moving her to No. 4 all-time at Oregon State. In javelin, Havana Alonso finished sixth while Kaylen Rabalais added an unattached mark. On the track, Ruby Broadbent led a deep group in the 1,500 meters with a runner-up finish of 4:19.25; several teammates also posted personal records.

Megan Hatcher took third place in the 100-meter hurdles with a career-best time of 14.62 seconds and later set another personal best in the 400-meter hurdles to reach No. 7 all-time at OSU. Ruby Lorenz entered OSU’s top ten for her performance in the open 400 meters.

In Saturday’s pole vault invite, Mia Fowler cleared a personal-best height of 3.91 meters (12-10) to improve her standing at No.5 on OSU’s all-time list while Ainsley Herron ran a personal-best time of 4:14.96 in the invitational section of the women’s 1,500 meters—good for No.3 all-time at Oregon State.

Field event highlights included Dede Norman winning high jump by clearing 1.77 meters (5-9¾), while Katie Gelston finished third in discus with a throw of over fifty-two meters (173-5). Molly Latincsics closed out Friday by running an unattached personal best of sixteen minutes twenty-three seconds (16:23:34) for tenth on OSU’s all-time list for five thousand meters.

The meet concluded with strong efforts from distance runners including Noemi Lundgren and Delaney Ulrich setting new lifetime marks in steeplechase events.
