Oregon State University’s softball team lost to the 12th-ranked Oregon Ducks, 7-2, at Jane Sanders Stadium in Eugene on April 22.

The game saw Oregon State collect seven hits but only manage two runs, while the Ducks scored three runs in both the first and fifth innings and added another in the sixth. The Beavers’ two runs came in the sixth inning after Lici Campbell singled and Ella Dardis, running for Campbell, scored along with Paige Bambarger following a fielder’s choice and an errant throw.

Campbell had her eighth multi-hit game of the season, going 2-for-3 at bat. Morgan Howey also went 2-for-3 with singles in both the second and fourth innings. Mya Harrison contributed with a hit that led to both Beaver runs, while Jaeya Butler rounded out the offense with a single hit as well.

Pitcher Haydn Milley started for Oregon State, allowing nine hits and four earned runs over six starts this season. Bailey Murray came on as relief in the fifth inning and gave up two more hits during her time on the mound.

Oregon State will return home for its final regular-season home series against Seattle University from April 24 to April 26. Tickets are available through the Beaver Ticket Office or online.
