Oregon Transportation Commission sets Jan. 22 meeting agenda with key program updates

The Oregon Transportation Commission is scheduled to hold its regular meeting on Thursday, January 22, at 10:30 a.m. The session will take place in the Gail Achterman Conference Room of the Transportation Building at 355 Capitol Street NE in Salem.

The agenda includes updates and actions on several transportation initiatives. The commission will receive an update from the Interstate Bridge Replacement Program and review internal audit matters, including adopting the 2026 Internal Audit Plan and accepting a report that reviews steps taken by the DMV and the Office of Innovative Funding following recommendations from Report 22-01.

Other items include approving rule changes for the Statewide Transportation Improvement Fund (STIF) Program and receiving an informational update on the Oregon Community Paths Program. This update will be open for public comment and subject to commission approval.

Commissioners will also discuss progress on developing the Capital Investment Plan, including reviewing the timeline for 2026. There will be consideration of releasing the draft 2027-2030 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) for public review and comment. Additionally, there will be a status update on implementing HB 3991 and efforts to address ODOT’s budget gap.

Members of the public can submit written comments ahead of time or sign up to provide oral comments either in person or virtually by using a form on the OTC website at www.oregon.gov/odot/Get-involved/Pages/OTC_Main.aspx. The deadline to sign up or submit written comments for inclusion in the meeting packet is noon on Tuesday, January 20. Participation is limited to one representative per organization, with priority given to first-time commenters.
