The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) has released its construction report for the week of July 27 to August 2, 2025. The report outlines ongoing projects across various counties, including Josephine, Jackson, Coos, Curry, and Douglas.
In Coos County, a project on Oregon 42 involves paving nearly seven miles and repairing bridges and culverts between U.S. 101 and Coquille. Traffic is limited to one lane in each direction until September. Nighttime paving work will continue through August with intermittent lane closures.
In Curry County, the U.S. 101 bridge repairs at Floras Creek and Willow Creek are scheduled for completion in August. Meanwhile, work on the Arizona Landslide Complex aims to reduce ground movement with a deep shaft catch basin for drainage by October 2026.
Douglas County’s projects include safety improvements along Interstate 5 with new signs and reflective markings to prevent wrong-way driving from the California border to Curtin interchange. A sidewalk project on Garden Valley Blvd. in Roseburg may cause congestion starting next week.
Jackson County’s construction includes replacing three bridges on Rogue River Highway that are better able to withstand earthquakes. Work continues near these bridges with minor delays expected.
Josephine County also sees ongoing safety enhancements along Interstate 5 as part of the Southern Oregon Wrong Way Driver Mitigation project.
