The Parks and Recreation Committee announced on Apr. 16 that its next meeting will be held on April 23 at 6:00 p.m. The session will take place via Zoom, with login details provided for public access.

The meeting is set to address routine business, including the approval of minutes from the previous committee gathering held on April 9. According to the agenda, a minimum of four committee members are required to establish a quorum in order to conduct official business.

A new item under discussion will be the “Battle of the Bands” event, which appears as part of new business on the agenda. The committee also allows time for member comments, where announcements or topics not listed on the agenda may be raised; however, no action can be taken unless they are scheduled for future meetings.

The consent agenda format means that routine items will be approved together unless a council or staff member requests separate consideration. If so, those items would then receive individual attention after approval of other consent items.

The meeting is expected to adjourn with an announcement that the next Parks and Recreation Committee session is planned for May 14 at 6:00 p.m.
