The Portland State men’s tennis team lost 4-0 to UC Davis on April 18 at the Marya Welch Tennis Center, ending their 2026 season.

The result means the Vikings finished the year with a record of six wins and fifteen losses. The Aggies improved their overall record to ten wins and twelve losses.

UC Davis secured the doubles point by winning matches at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles positions, then continued their success in singles play by clinching straight-set victories at No. 2, No. 4, and No. 6 singles to close out the match.

Following a defeat against Sacramento State on Thursday, Portland State was eliminated from contention for the Big Sky Tournament this year. The Vikings concluded conference play with two wins—against Montana State on Feb. 28 and Idaho on April 5—and five losses.

With this loss, Portland State looks ahead to future seasons as they aim to improve upon this year’s results.
