Portland State Men’s Basketball Coach Jase Coburn announced on April 17 the signing of Antonio Pusateri to the Vikings program for the 2026-27 season.
Pusateri, a 6-foot-7 forward, played last season at Lubbock Christian where he averaged 16.7 points and 11.0 rebounds per game with a .593 field goal percentage. He started all 33 games for the Chaps, recording nearly two assists per game and totaling 37 blocked shots. His performance included achieving 21 double-doubles, which ranked as the second-most in NCAA Division II nationally.
“Antonio is an outstanding person. His discipline and winning character will definitely add to the culture that we have,” Coburn said. “Antonio is an exciting player with a high motor, high energy, and high activity on the court. He is an elite defender and rebounder and has a great ability to score. Portland State fans will be excited to watch him.”
Pusateri earned several honors during his time at Lubbock Christian, including first team All-Lone Star Conference recognition, Lone Star Newcomer of the Year, NABC second team All-District selection, three Lone Star Defensive Player of the Week awards, and one Offensive Player of the Week award.
A native of San Francisco, Pusateri previously played two seasons at City College of San Francisco after attending Riordan High School.
He becomes the fifth player to sign with Portland State ahead of next season. The program recently won the Big Sky Conference regular season championship in 2025-26 under head coach Jase Coburn.
