The Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has closed its Prineville office at 1595 E. Third St. today due to a facility issue, according to an announcement from the agency.

Customers needing DMV services are advised to visit the nearest alternative location in Redmond. The agency also encourages customers to check for real-time updates on office closures through the Oregon DMV website at https://www.oregon.gov/odot/dmv/pages/offices/index.aspx and to consider completing transactions online at DMV2U, which provides more than 30 common services.

“Every person who completes a transaction outside a DMV frees up a spot in line at a field office,” the announcement states. “For a faster experience, make an appointment.”
