The Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) announced that its Prineville office at 1595 E. Third St. is closed today due to staffing issues. According to the DMV, customers who need in-person services can visit nearby offices in Redmond, Madras, or Bend.

The agency also encouraged people to use DMV2U, an online service platform that allows users to complete more than 30 different transactions at any time.

For those needing vehicle registration services such as renewals, printing copies of registration cards, or replacing stickers, the Oregon DMV Express Kiosk located inside the Bend Fred Meyer at 61535 S Hwy. 97 is available. The DMV states that most transactions at this kiosk take five minutes or less and documents are printed immediately after a successful transaction.
