Region 1 Area Commission on Transportation schedules August public meeting with safety plan update

The Region 1 Area Commission on Transportation (ACT) is scheduled to meet on Monday, August 4, 2025. The meeting will be held in person at the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) Region 1 Headquarters, located at 123 NW Flanders Street in Portland. A virtual attendance option will also be available for both ACT members and the public.

A test of video and audio connections is set for 5:15 p.m., with the official meeting beginning at 5:30 p.m. One of the main topics on the agenda is an update on the Transportation Safety Action Plan. The full agenda can be accessed through the Region 1 ACT website.

“ODOT is committed to maintaining accessibility and transparency for all public meetings,” according to ODOT.

The meeting will take place in Conference Room A/B on the first floor of the Matthew L. Garrett Building. Participants may join online via Zoom using meeting ID 869 9857 1846 or by phone by dialing 253-215-8782 and entering the same meeting ID. No RSVP or Zoom account is required, though attendees may need to provide a name or email address visible to others present.

There will be opportunities for public comment during the session. Attendees can use Zoom’s “raise hand” feature to speak after being unmuted and are asked to introduce themselves before commenting or asking questions. Those joining by phone can dial *9 to raise their hand and *6 to mute or unmute their microphone; comments may also be submitted through Zoom’s chat function.
