Roseburg DMV temporarily closes due to staffing shortage

The Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) announced that its Roseburg office, located at 1331 NE Cedar St., is closed today due to staffing issues. Customers who need in-person services are directed to the nearest DMV location in Grants Pass at 162 NE Beacon Drive, Suite 127.

In a statement provided by the agency, customers are encouraged to check if their needs can be met online: “See if you can complete your service online at DMV2U, which offers over 30 transactions 24 hours a day.”

No information was given about when the Roseburg office will reopen. For further questions, customers may contact the DMV at 503-945-5000 or visit oregondmv.com.

Two people were killed Saturday evening after a head-on collision on Highway 34 in Linn County. Oregon State Police say both drivers and one passenger were involved. The highway remained closed for several hours during the investigation.
