Plan ahead for single lane closures starting next week. Crews have been working on the Santiam River Bridge to improve safety and provide a smoother ride.

The work on the driving surface will require daytime single lane closures from July 21 through July 24. During this period, drivers can expect:

– Daytime single lane closures starting July 21.
– Flaggers helping direct traffic through the 10 feet wide lane.
– Cones that cannot be moved due to the nature of this work.
– Crews working from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m.
– Work vehicles entering the road.
– Construction noise and delays.

Drivers are advised to use caution when traveling through the area.

While a funding crisis is affecting ODOT’s maintenance and operations, most construction projects will continue as planned. These projects are typically funded through separate capital programs with state or federal funds legally restricted to project development. Delays may still occur due to a reduced workforce, which could slow down timelines or introduce challenges in project delivery.

Fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.

For ADA Title II or Civil Rights Title VI accommodations, alternate formats, translation/interpretation services, or additional information call TTY (800) 735-2900 or use the statewide Oregon Relay Service: 7-1-1.

Access for pedestrians, including those with disabilities, will be available through or around work zones.
