The South West Area Commission on Transportation (SWACT) will hold a virtual meeting on Friday, January 9, from 10 a.m. to noon. The session is open to the public and will include time for public input.
The agenda includes updates from the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) Region 3 manager and a presentation and discussion on the Capital Investment Plan.
SWACT is made up of community leaders and interested parties from Coos, Curry, and Douglas Counties. The commission meets up to six times per year to discuss transportation planning, funding, and operations related to the state transportation system in southwest Oregon. SWACT also provides recommendations to the Oregon Transportation Commission about local priorities that have statewide importance as well as statewide policy issues.
There are twelve Area Commissions on Transportation across Oregon, each covering different regions of the state. SWACT specifically serves Coos, Curry, and Douglas Counties (source).
Accommodations are available for people with disabilities, including alternate formats of printed materials upon request. Those needing assistance should call 503-986-4188 or use statewide relay 7-1-1 at least 48 hours before the meeting.
