The South West Area Commission on Transportation (SWACT) will hold a virtual meeting on Friday, November 14, from 10 a.m. to noon. The session is open to the public and includes time for public input.
According to the agenda, topics will include updates on SWACT membership, the Capital Investment Plan, Connect Oregon, news from ODOT Region 3 management and budget, winter preparation efforts, and an overview of the ODOT Region 3 construction program.
SWACT is made up of local community leaders and interested parties from Coos, Curry, and Douglas Counties. The commission meets up to six times per year to discuss transportation issues related to planning, funding, and operations within the state system. The group also provides recommendations to the Oregon Transportation Commission regarding local priorities that have statewide significance as well as broader policy matters.
Accommodations are available for people with disabilities or those needing alternate formats of printed materials. Requests should be made at least 48 hours before the meeting by calling 503-986-4188 or using statewide relay 7-1-1.
For additional information about the meeting or SWACT activities, contact ODOT Public Information Officer Dan Latham at Dan.Latham@odot.oregon.gov or call 541-817-5200.
