Knights Fall to College of Idaho on the Road | Warner Pacific University
The Knights fell in their away matchup against College of Idaho on Saturday by a score of 70-59.
College of Idaho (7-4, 2-3) held a lead over the Knights (0-10, 0-5) for virtually the entire game on Saturday. After five minutes of back and forth to open the game, the Yotes got out to a lead they would maintain until the final buzzer.
College of Idaho ended the first quarter up by eight points on the Knights. Their lead would grow to as much as 18 throughout the game. The Yotes held a double digit lead for nearly the entire second half and came away with the 70-59 victory over the Knights.
Despite the loss, the game saw some of the best individual performances of the season for the Knights. McKeeley Tonkin led the offense with 24 points, a season high for her. Emily Brown also had 15 points and led the Knights with 8 rebounds, a season for her as well.
The loss drops the Knights to 0-10 to open the season. Women's basketball is back in action at home on Dec. 30 when they take on Oregon Tech at 5:30 p.m.
